The Cape Byron Lighthouse
Check out the fantastic ocean views and look out for whales and dolphins at Australia’s most easterly lighthouse. The beam intensity is equivalent to 2,200,000 candles making it one of the southern hemisphere’s most powerful lighthouses.
A staggering 500,000 visitors a year venture up to the lighthouse which was constructed in 1901 and stands 22 metres high. The walk from the lighthouse down to the headland is breathtaking and a must do for anyone visiting the area.
