A Spot of Paint

Why not try something different, after all Byron is renowned for being just a little different. Full and half day workshops for adults and children where you can experiment with the wonders of pottery, illustration, ceramic painting, painting on canvas, window painting, mosaics, beading, clay sculpture, screen printing, tie dying and batik.

Be inspired in the brilliant atmosphere at this modern studio. All tools and materials are provided and there is a large range of ready to paint ceramics.


Circus Arts Byron Bay

Located at the Byron Bay Entertainment Centre is Australia’s only indoor circus school. The vibrant cirque-style venue has a full-size high flying trapeze and specializes in creating a unique and thrilling experience for anyone who partakes in a class.

Circus Arts offers a weekly timetable of circus classes and high flying trapeze sessions for all ages and abilities.


Byron Bay Community Market

On the first Sunday of every month Byron Bay comes alive with the craft and produce market held at the Butler Street reserve. Live performances and eye catching stalls selling anything from handcrafted wares, locally-grown produce, and artworks of every kind. The Byron market is a cultural event and a great way to spend a Sunday.

Grab a meal, watch a performance and browse the hundreds of stalls or just simply sit back and watch the characters pass you by.


Farrell Glass Design

For over 20 years the Farrell Glass gallery has been exhibiting its huge range of hand blown glass and allowing visitors to stand in the large gallery and observe the Glass Blowing Studio in action.

The gallery exhibits the glass works of 5 renowned local hot glass artists and features a large selection of beautiful, unique jewellery and both functional and sculptural pieces.

Admission is free.


The Cape Byron Lighthouse

Check out the fantastic ocean views and look out for whales and dolphins at Australia’s most easterly lighthouse. The beam intensity is equivalent to 2,200,000 candles making it one of the southern hemisphere’s most powerful lighthouses.

A staggering 500,000 visitors a year venture up to the lighthouse which was constructed in 1901 and stands 22 metres high. The walk from the lighthouse down to the headland is breathtaking and a must do for anyone visiting the area.
